5.
Gum grafting

A gum graft is a type of dental surgery performed to correct the effects of gum recession. It is a quick and relatively simple surgery in which a periodontist removes healthy gum tissue from the roof of the mouth and uses it to build the gum back up where it has receded.

6.
Periodontal maintenance

Periodontal maintenance involves a cleaning that is deeper than a normal cleaning in a dental office. Patients with a history of periodontal disease need deeper cleanings because periodontal “pockets” have formed. Pockets are spaces between the teeth and gums where plaque and tartar form.

New Patient

Your first appointment will be about getting to know each other so that we can be informed about your goals your medical history, and talk about your treatment options. Occasionally, treatment can be performed the same day as the consultation. However, a medical history or treatment strategy will require an evaluation and a second appointment to provide treatment on another day.
